Howard Drossin’s Music Projects
Composing Memorable Film Music, Video Game Soundtracks, and Song Collaborations
Howard Drossin began his career as a guitar player in Los Angeles bands, making albums. In his early 20s, Howard’s work ended up in the hands of the President of SEGA of America and he was subsequently hired as the company’s Music Director. While at SEGA, Howard composed some of the most iconic late 90’s and early 2000’s video game soundtracks.
Howard left Sega and began diversifying his work. Early on he began collaborating with Joseph Kahn and created orchestral intros for videos (Backstreet Boys) and commercials. His score for NASCAR’s Sea Raiders premiered at the Super Bowl. In the early 2000s, Howard composed background score for Universal Studio’s Islands of Adventure theme park in Florida. He also scored his first film, The Item, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
A band member at heart, Howard enjoys working with other musicians including Paul Oakenfold and RZA to create original score and songs. Howard has worked as an orchestral arranger for songs by legendary recording artists Rod Stewart, Beyoncé, The Black Keys, and the Wu-Tang Clan.
Howard currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
